The first annual Taste of Chatham took place on Monday, October 16th at the Madison Hotel and was a big success!
The evening commenced with an intimate VIP gathering where local Chatham Chef James Laird, of Restaurant Serenade, who demonstrated how he creates a smooth, velvety, delectable butternut squash soup, followed by a glazed, pan roasted cauliflower. Guests were treated to a tasting of these delicacies with a wine pairing, received special gifts and a few lucky winners walked away with exclusive prizes.
The evening continued with just over 300 guests arriving to sip & savor their way through a journey of global flavors from over 40 food & beverage purveyors, while enjoying live music and bidding on generously donated silent auction items. Two lucky guests won the Restaurant Gift Card raffle, which included a bundle of gift cards to local restaurants, each with a value of over $600.
We were thrilled to welcome special food influencer guests, @tipsycritc and @teamtaylornj, to experience all Chatham has to offer.
A portion of the Silent Auction and Raffle proceeds were donated to the Chatham Food Distribution Program, which secured two additional weeks of fresh grocery products to support families in need, going into the winter season.
