Chisel & Loom

Tom Simpson founded Chisel and Loom while working at a saw mill specializing in reclaimed wood. It was here that he learned about the subtle nuances of old growth lumber and how to incorporate reclaimed materials into any design aesthetic.

After spending five years at a reclaimed wood mill and with enough knowledge to venture on his own, Tom partnered with Atmosphere & Bois in New York City and Colette Interiors in Chatham, New Jersey to share his passion and knowledge with the most discerning clients in the world.

Tom’s inspirations are deeply rooted in the concept of wabi sabi and minimalist design often found in European aesthetics.
